Quantitative biology: measuring and modeling biological systems

Course Topics:
- Cell cycle
- Circadian regulation
- Bioinformatics
- Image processing
- Computational modeling
Students will:
- Interact with Virginia Tech faculty, establishing connections for potential future research.
- Find out how the different research areas under biological systems modeling align with their interests.
- Gain hands-on experience with several cutting-edge computational and biological research techniques.
- Develop confidence in their ability to understand and participate in scientific research.
Daily Schedule:
- Morning and afternoon sessions (~3 hours each) from Monday to Friday
- All sessions will be held in Steger Hall at Virginia Tech.
- Combination of lectures and hands-on activities
- Lunch and breakfast will be provided each day.
- Community college students not living in Blacksburg can sign up for a shared room during the week (weekends excluded).
