Who We Are
We are a diverse community of undergraduate students involved in building community, increasing programming, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and improving communication. We are a resource for the department at events such as recruitments and strive to be an official undergraduate voice at the departmental level.
Interested in joining?
Undergraduates in Biological Sciences or any Bio-adjacent major are welcome to join! If you have an idea that you're really excited about, please talk to us and we'd love to have you be a part of a committee to incorporate your passion into our growing projects!
Criteria: Students must be enrolled at Virginia Tech for at least one semester before applying. Transfer students are welcome to apply.

Our Facebook and Instagram feature photos, links, and important information about sponsored or relevant opportunities and events which are all compiled in our bi-weekly newsletter. In addition to email, these platforms are our main mode of communication with students and faculty of the department. Feel free to engage!
Events sponsored in the past have hosted a range of professional development, academic, and extracurricular student organizations. The Facultea Series, for example, has been a popular attraction as we welcome members participating in the university’s research to meet with students informally to share their interests in science. As we expand, we wish to foster more opportunities for service engagement.
